Planning zones for a garden irrigation enquiry

A simple site plan helps a specialist separate areas with different watering needs and identify missing measurements.

Draw the site

Mark boundaries, levels, beds, lawn, hard surfaces, buildings, taps, water source and areas that must remain dry. Add dimensions and north where known.

Group unlike areas separately

Record plant type, soil, sun, slope and exposure. Lawn, containers and established borders may need different delivery methods or schedules; do not assume one runtime suits the whole site.

Plan control and maintenance

Discuss isolation, seasonal shut-down, filters, access to valves, adjustments and leak checks. Ask how the proposed controller responds to weather and how manual override works.
